terms

Terms of sale, mondaypress.cc

1. Seller and contact

  1. The online shop at mondaypress.cc (the Shop) is run by a private individual trading under the Polish unregistered-business rules (działalność nierejestrowana, art. 5(1) of the Entrepreneurs Act of 6 March 2018) (the Seller).
  2. Contact: [email protected], for anything at all, including returns and complaints. The Seller’s details and the postal address for correspondence and returns are given on request sent to that address.
  3. These terms govern the sale of books in the Shop: ordering, payment, delivery, withdrawal, complaints and personal data.
  4. The Shop is available in Polish and English. The contract is concluded in the language version the customer uses; both versions of these terms say the same.

2. Orders

  1. The book listings in the Shop are an invitation to order, not a binding offer.
  2. To order, you add books to the basket, choose the delivery country (and, for Poland, may pick a Paczkomat), enter any discount code, go to payment, fill in the delivery details, choose the delivery method and pay. The full price including delivery is shown before you pay.
  3. The contract of sale is concluded when you receive the order confirmation e-mail, which we send once your payment is recorded.
  4. The number of copies of one title per order may be limited; the limit shows in the basket. If a book turns out to be out of stock after you order, we tell you at once and refund the full amount.
  5. Pre-orders. A title marked “pre-sale” ships from the date given on the book’s page and in the order confirmation. If that date moves, we let you know by e-mail; you may then withdraw from the contract and receive a full refund.

3. Prices and payment

  1. Prices are in Polish złoty for delivery to Poland and in euro for delivery elsewhere; the delivery country sets the currency. Prices are final. The Seller is exempt from VAT, so no VAT is added.
  2. Prices do not include delivery. The delivery cost depends on the country and method and is shown in the basket and on the payment page before you pay.
  3. Where a price has been reduced, the Shop shows the lowest price of that book in the 30 days before the reduction.
  4. A bundle price applies when all titles of the bundle are bought together. A discount code reduces the price of the books, not of delivery; a code may have an expiry date and a limit on uses.
  5. Payment is made in advance through the payment provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Dublin). The available payment methods are shown on the payment page. The Seller never receives or stores card details. An order is not placed until payment is made.
  6. The Seller does not issue VAT invoices. On request we issue a receipt (an invoice without VAT); please e-mail [email protected] with the order number.
  7. Deliveries outside the European Union may attract customs duties, import taxes or carrier fees under the rules of the destination country. These are paid by the customer and are not included in the price or the delivery cost.

4. Delivery

  1. The countries we ship to are listed in the basket. If yours is not there, please e-mail [email protected] and we will try to arrange delivery.
  2. Delivery methods: in Poland, an InPost Paczkomat parcel locker (you pick the locker in the basket) or courier; abroad, by post.
  3. We dispatch within 3 working days of your payment being recorded; a pre-sale title ships from the date given on the book’s page.
  4. Indicative delivery times from dispatch: 1–3 working days in Poland, 5–10 working days in Europe, 10–20 working days outside Europe. A closer estimate for your country is shown on the payment page. These are the carriers’ estimates, not a guarantee.
  5. A parcel sent to a Paczkomat waits for collection for the period set in InPost’s rules (currently 48 hours from notification); you receive a collection code by text message or e-mail, which is why we ask for a phone number with this option.
  6. If a parcel arrives damaged, it helps to note the damage with the courier or report it in the InPost app and to write to us. This makes things easier but is not a condition of a complaint.

5. Right of withdrawal (returns)

  1. A consumer may withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the book (for an order delivered in parts, of receiving the last part). The same right applies to a sole trader buying for purposes that are not of a professional nature for them.
  2. To withdraw, send a statement before the deadline by e-mail to [email protected]. You may use the form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to. We confirm receipt by e-mail and give you the return address.
  3. Send the book back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after withdrawing, to the address we give you. You bear the cost of the return postage. We do not accept parcels sent cash on delivery.
  4. We refund all payments received from you, including the cost of delivery to you (up to the cheapest delivery method offered in the Shop for your country), no later than 14 days after receiving your statement, using the same payment method you used. We may hold the refund until we have the book back or proof that you have sent it.
  5. You are liable for any diminished value of the book resulting from handling beyond what is needed to establish its nature, characteristics and condition. You may look through the book as you would in a bookshop; signs of reading, creases, stains or damage may reduce the refund.

6. Complaints

  1. The Seller must deliver a book that conforms with the contract: free of printing and binding faults, missing or duplicated pages, and damage. For a lack of conformity that appears within two years of delivery the Seller is liable under chapter 5a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014, which implements the EU rules on the sale of goods.
  2. The easiest way to complain is by e-mail to [email protected], giving the order number, a description of the problem and, if possible, a photo. We reply within 14 days; no reply within that time means the complaint is accepted.
  3. You may ask for the book to be replaced with a conforming copy (repairing a book is rarely practical). If replacement is impossible or would involve excessive cost, or we fail to replace the book within a reasonable time, you may ask for a price reduction or withdraw from the contract. The cost of returning a faulty copy is borne by the Seller.
  4. Consumers in Poland may also use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures: mediation at a regional inspector of the Trade Inspection, the permanent consumer arbitration courts at the Trade Inspection, or the help of a municipal or district consumer ombudsman; see uokik.gov.pl. Consumers in other EU countries may use the alternative dispute resolution bodies of their own country.

7. Personal data

  1. The controller of customers’ personal data is the Seller (contact details in section 1).
  2. The data given with an order (name, delivery address, e-mail, phone number, the contents of the order) is processed to conclude and perform the contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to meet legal obligations including accounting and complaints (art. 6(1)(c)) and to establish or defend claims (art. 6(1)(f)). An e-mail address given for the newsletter is processed on the basis of consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time through the link in each message or by writing to the Seller.
  3. Recipients of data: the payment provider Stripe (payment and contact details), the carrier delivering the parcel (InPost, Poczta Polska or a courier; name, address, phone number, e-mail), and the Seller’s hosting and e-mail providers.
  4. We keep the data for the time needed to fulfil the order and then for as long as tax rules require and claims may be brought.
  5. You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing, to data portability, to object, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).
  6. The Shop uses no analytics or tracking cookies. The contents of your basket are stored only in your own browser. The payment page belongs to Stripe and is subject to Stripe’s privacy rules.

8. Final provisions

  1. Polish law applies to the contract. This does not deprive a consumer of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where they habitually reside.
  2. A change to these terms does not affect orders placed before it takes effect.
  3. These terms apply from 29.10.2026.
